Nakoso Beach, boasting the largest area in Fukushima Prefecture.
The shallow, gently sloping beach with beautiful white sand bustles every summer with many beachgoers, including families.
Nearby are tourist spots such as the Site of the Nakoso Barrier as well as accommodation facilities, and access is convenient from Nakoso Station and the Iwaki-Nakoso IC.
Not only from within Iwaki City but also from outside the city and prefecture, many people visit thanks to it being the closest swimming beach to the Kanto region.

Usuiso Beach, with its beautiful sandy shore and crystal-clear waters, was selected as one of Japan’s 100 Best Beaches.
Located on the north side of the Shioyasaki Lighthouse, this coastline is a popular spot and a signature sightseeing destination of Iwaki City.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the shoreline was improved along with seawall construction.
It’s a recommended beach for those who want to enjoy beautiful waves and scenery!

Right before you are 弁天島 and a torii gate; the beautiful contrast with the sea makes 久之浜・波立海水浴場 known as a 'scenic spot'.
It is a beach characterized by round, relatively large pebbles, where you can fully enjoy the scenery!

Other information
(1) Whether swimming is permitted each day is announced from around 10:30 on the “Iwaki City General Tourist Information Center X (formerly Twitter)”.
(2) If you feel unwell, please refrain from visiting.
(3) Entering the swimming area with personal watercraft (jet skis) is prohibited by ordinance and is dangerous; do not do this under any circumstances.
(4) Barbecues and open fires are prohibited within the beach area. They may inconvenience other swimmers, so do not do this under any circumstances.
(5) The following five beaches were decided to be abolished in May 2022 (合磯海水浴場 was abolished in 2018). Because safety measures by monitors and lifeguards are not in place, it is extremely dangerous; please refrain from swimming.

(6) The City of Iwaki conducts regular surveys of radiation levels, etc., at the beaches to be opened.
